It's that time again when I try to start fresh with my blog. 2017 was a crazy fast year for me and there's no excuse for not being able to blog. I have just been too busy and lazy at the same time.

Updates, I have finished my BS-IT course from Informatics College (now Gardner College), I took my internship at DTI-CITEM and proudly, I am now working as a Web Developer with the same government agency. *Yep! Finally a "Kawani ng Gobyerno" lol.

I have had my fair share of ups and downs for 2017. It gave me a handful of learnings, lessons and realizations. Though these learnings aren't really new, it's just that I never apply what I learn. I was always that girl who knows what she should do, but she's not doing anything. I guess life really is all about the trivial things that makes you think and makes you realize that after the roller coaster ride, life still is worth living.

So here's what 2017 has made me realize which I hope I could get my mind into as I start my 2018.

1. Don't Apologize For Changing Your Field.
For me, leaving Medical Technology after about 5 years of studying and 2 years of working was difficult but necessary. I had to accept that it was okay for me to change fields, that I will excel in what I want to do, and wish that I had spent less energy trying to prove that to others who never believed in what I am capable of.

2. Get Rid of Toxic Culture.
A lot of people tend to act like always being the alpha. Like they can never be wrong. For 2018, I should try my best to get rid of anything that's toxic for me. I might not be able to totally get rid of it but I'll try my best to avoid those people who can't even let me finish my own sentence, meaning they don't want to listen.

3. Just because I love what I do, I owe anyone to work for free.
Ever since I learned how to do graphic design and web development, I think a lot of people were asking me to do things for free, where it started as small images until I'll be doing a whole website for them, for free. Like, yeah, I LOVE what I do, but should I always do it for free? I don't mean to be someone that's always for money, but hey, it would be great if I could get even a small token as 'thank you' right?

4. Stop Overthinking.
I always tend to overthink things. Like a simple gesture of someone towards others, I would always try to think the reason behind it. I always ask, "why?" when the answer was simply 'just because'. I should stop stressing my self into over thinking into things that are meant to be simple.

5. I am who I am, and I am ENOUGH.
I guess there's no need for elaboration here. I am who I am, and I am enough. I may lack with some other things, but as long as I know that I am doing and giving my best in anything that I do, I know that it should be enough. :)

So aside from those 5, I have had a lot of realizations which I guess would be too long for a blog post. Lol. As the title of this blog post says, "Thank you, 2017!" Thank you because 2017 has been so great despite of the challenges and disappointments I had to face. I was able to stand strong and be a better version of myself, ready to face 2018.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings. Again, I will try my best to post here in my blog for 2018. :)

Happy New Year everyone! :)

Hello! Happy New Year everyone!

New Years are usually for resolutions as to what they say as "change for the better" but on the very first month of 2017, what I did was to SHOP.

I was able to receive monetary gifts last Christmas so I decided to go to Divisoria to treat myself because I got good grades at school last term.

It was the Feast Day of Nazareno and we didn't have classes yet so I left home around 8am and came to 168 Mall around 9am. Since it was a holiday and a weekday, there were only few shoppers when I came. It's always my routine to stroll the mall row by row before buying anything so that I can make sure that I am getting the best deal on a certain product. I wasn't able to take note of the stalls on where I bought each item but I'll try my best to remember on where it is located.

Here are the items that I've bought:

I got this Denim Dress and Over-sized Polo at a stall on the 1st floor of 999 Mall that sells branded overruns. The dress is an overrun from Zara and the other one is from Highway. Both are for 300php each.

I also got these Halter Tops on a wholesale price since I purchased 6pcs. This costs 100php each. Retail price was at 150php each. I bought this at the 2nd floor of 999 Mall, the stall is one of those that's within the center aisle.

This long blouse is for 350php but I haggled so it was given to me for 300php. Hihi. That's still 50php.

These underwears are from the 1st floor of 999 Mall bundled for 280php. Yep, 280php for 2pcs of bra and 3pcs of panties! What a steal right!? ^_^

I've watched a lot of Youtubers and they've always mentioned Glad King so I went there to check for make-up brushes. I got a Hello Kitty Retractable Kabuki Brush for 100php and a Revlon Retractable Eyebrow Pen (Of course it's fake) for 100php as well. If you're eyeing to buy the make-up brushes set, I suggest that you stroll around first as there are other stalls that sell make-up brushes for a cheaper price compared to Glad King.

I transferred to 168 Mall and ate my lunch at their Food Court on the 3rd Floor. Of course, feeling korean as I am, I bought Kimbap from a Korean Stall and also had Wintermelon Milk Tea. My lunch cost was around 180php.

I bought these 3 Ramen from a Korean Stall as well on the 3rd floor near the Food Court which is priced at 3 for 100php.

These 2 Kimonos are 180php each which I got at one of the boutiques on the 3rd Floor of 168. Stalls at the 3rd floor usually have fixed prices.

Then I went down to the 2nd Floor and got this Polo Shirt for my boyfriend which is priced at 150php, I haggled and got this for 120php.

On the 1st Floor, I got this Bluetooth Headset for 300php which was originally priced at 450php. I haggled at first then the seller didn't want to lessen the price but as I was about to leave the store and look for a cheaper one, the seller said "Sige ate, 350 na lang, bilhin mo na". LOL. Then I said, "Ate, 300 lang budget ko eh. Hanap muna ko kahit ibang klase." And then she said "Sige, 300 na lang toh, kunin mo na. Halika i-test na natin.". So that's 150php less. LOL.

Then just before I went out, near the exit, I bought these Ashley Nail Polishes for 11php each, KissProof Liquid Lipstick for 50php each, Liquid Eyeliner for 40php and the Keratin Hair Reconstruction Treatment for 6php each.

Outside the 168 Mall, I got this 5pcs Handkerchief for 100php and a Face Mask for my boyfriend worth 25php.

All in all, I've splurged around 3,000php but I was able to buy a lot of things, compared to shopping at SM or Trinoma Malls. Here's the breakdown.

Handkerchiefs = 100
Nail Polish = 11 x 8 = 88
KissProof Liquid Lipstick = 50 x 3 = 150
Liquid Eyeliner = 40php
Keratin Hair Reconstruction = 6 x 6 = 36
Bluetooth Headset = 300
Polo Shirt = 120
Kimono = 180 x 2 = 360
Ramen 3pcs = 100
Lunch = 180
Kabuki Brush = 100
Eyebrow Pencil = 100
Underwear Bundle = 280
Long Blouse = 300
Halter Tops = 100 x 6 = 600
Denim Dress = 300
Denim Polo = 300
-------------------------------------
Total = 3,454

Last week, me and my boyfriend went to Monasterio De Sta. Clara in Katipunan, Quezon City. He's graduating this May 20, 2016 so, as a sign of gratitude, we went there to offer eggs and to ask for help for his sister's pregnancy. As always, we're on commute mode. Since I'll be coming from SM North EDSA, and he's coming from España, we agreed to meet at Katipunan to save time.

I was thinking of riding the MRT then transfer to LRT2, but then, I remembered that there are these COMET Terminals with "Katipunan" sign boards. So, I went to there kiosk and asked for information.

I was given this card with information inside. I got the card for 20PHP and paid another 40PHP for the load. 'Cause I was informed that it's 20PHP from SM North to Katipunan and vice versa.

COMET is actually an acronym for City Optimized Managed Electric Transport. Ha! Knew that! Thanks to google. *lol*

Anyway, the E-jeepney can fit around 20 passengers, I guess. my trip was around 3pm in the afternoon so the weather was really hot. Though, my ride was smooth, there was not much of a traffic and I arrived at Katipunan within 20-30mins. For me, COMET seems to be very convenient for passengers since you can register your cards so that in case of loss, you can report it and no one can use it. Also, the driver is friendly. I was able to talk to the driver and he informed me that they're on an 8-hour shift only and receives salary monthly, which means that they are not eager to stop in every side of the street just to get a passenger because their income doesn't depend on it. Which will lead to less traffic and more disciplined drivers.

Aside from this advantages, the COMET is also electronically powered. Meaning, it's very eco-frendly! no more air pollution. Hurray for that!

This makes me hopeful that it would help pave the way to improve not only the state of the jeepney but also that of public transportation and usher in a new age of environmentally-safe vehicles and commuters getting the comfort they deserve.

If you want to know more information about this E-Jeepney, you can check out their website: http://getevee.com/ph/

Hello there! I’m back! And yessssss! I’ve been to El Nido, Palawan! < (*insert twinkling eyes here*)
A lot of people presume that El Nido is a luxurious place maybe because of the high end resorts and the cost of the activities that one can do in El Nido. But if you’ve read one of my posts before or if you know me personally, you know that I’m currently a student and there’s no way I could’ve afford a luxurious trip to the Paradise on Earth.

As you can see, my title says “Sudden Paradise”. Yes, sudden. ‘Cause first of all, I was never a traveler. I mean, yeah, I love travelling but my budget is just not enough to allow me to travel to different places. As far as I remember, the places I’ve been in the PH was Davao (I was a kid back then), Baguio, Sagada, Puerto Galera and Baler. So yeah, not a lot. Sooooooo, sudden because our trip to El Nido was very unexpected.
My sister was supposed to go there last year, APEC Week. Since their flights were cancelled, it was re-booked this February. Her friend was working at PAL so she was asked if there’s someone who wants to come with them to Palawan ’cause he’ll be able to provide a discounted ticket. To cut the story short, me and my boyfriend were able to score plane tickets to Puerto Princesa for only PHP 2,600 (two-way trip) and that’s for Premium Economy, not just Economy.
Our original itinerary wasOriginal Itinerary
But then, a lot of unexpected events happened so our itinerary even our accomodation was changed.
New Itinerary
*Edit*
So I have decided to put all my posts about our El Nido trip here. **lazy me attacks*.
Since there were a lot of changes with our planned itinerary, even our accommodation and the travel and tour agency that we had before was changed. When we arrived at PPS, my sister and her friend went out of the airport and searched for a travel and tour agency.  We got a deal from Miroju Tours and they had encouraged us to cancel our booked accomodation in Verde Safari because they said that the travel to and from Verde to the town proper is more than an hour and it would be very exhausting for us every time we have our island tours. And, they also promised that they can give us an accommodation in El Nido Town Proper even without the earlier reservation. So after few conversations, we closed the deal with Miroju Tours and proceeded to the City Tour while waiting for my sister’s friend. After the city tour, we had our lunch and went back to the office of the travel agency to fetch Ate Mara, which is my sister’s friend.
We arrived at El Nido Town Proper around 9:30pm. And to our dismay,  we don’t have a ready accommodation contrary to what Miroju Tours had informed us. We tried to talk to the driver to drive us to Verde Safari since we haven’t cancelled the reservation yet, but the driver insisted that he will not drive us anymore. Miroju Tours has left us with no other option. We talked to the owner of the accommodation that Miroju has talked to earlier. The owner said that he informed Miroju that the room has no aircondition because of the limited electricity supply to the city since there other rooms are all occupied. But Miroju didn’t inform us of this. After few discussions, we settled in staying at Ricgem. The owner was also frustrated at first but was able to work out a solution. So we were a total of 9 adults and 1 kid staying in a 1 room with 1 double deck bed and 2 double sized beds and 1 t&b. Lol. Imagine the chaos. Haha. We had to schedule the usage of the bathroom and as well as the charging ports for our gadgets. Anyway, for the inconvenience, Ricgem offered us a free breakfast for each of us and the room is only for 3,000php per night. *Super great deal* despite of the hassle.
We were able to sleep, the next morning, we had our free breakfast and proceeded to our first island tour. The travel agency we had for the island tour was “Jhanna’s” and their tour guides were the best! Our 2nd island tour on our Day 3 was also with Jhanna’s. I have a lot of stories to tell from our El Nido Tour but I’m just not in the mood to elaborate things as of the moment. So for the meantime, I’ll leave this blog post here with some photos from our trip but I will try my best to edit this post once “sipag” kicks in. :p

Happy New Year! Hello 2016!

We made DIY shirts for our New Year Party which was inspired by Miss Universe 2016 Ms. Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach "Confidently Beautiful with a Heart"

So, our shirts were painted with "#lait" words for our own selves. Special thanks to my brother, Darryl who were responsible for all the lettering on every shirt.

Here's a photo of us wearing the finished product :)

While waiting for the 12:00 countdown, we played some games again and prepared our fireworks and foods

And here's a final photo with our baby girl feeling "rock and roll" with his tito's.

I won't be posting any new year's resolution for this year. Because I know for my self that I won't be able to follow it. Instead, I'll just try my best to make better changes for my self this year and be happy with what life gives me.

Happy New Year Everyone! ~

After our Christmas Party, my family and relatives went to SM North EDSA to have a simple bonding by playing bowling and billiards and a buffet dinner. Sponsored by Kuya Nino for the bowling and billiard fees and Tita Anna for our dinner.
I'll just dump here some of the photos since there's not much to elaborate.

Christmas for me has always been about family.

For our Christmas this 2015, we have decided to have a mini christmas party. And this time, we are all complete. Of course, my mom's not here physically but she's in our hearts always so yeah, we're complete!

My cousins from the Gomez and nephews from the Ragasa were all present. Even my boyfriend and my brother's girlfriend. Haha.
So we had potluck for our food,

rented out a karaoke machine and we have all decided to wear blue!

Those not in blue was not informed ahead of time. haha!

Anyway, before the party, me and my sister went to the grocery to buy some snacks as prizes for games and raffle.

Then we had few games; Zip the Nips, Pass the Paper(Lips Version), Bond Paper Dance, Stop Dance, Palayok and Pabitin. Haha! We had so much fun to the point that we even forgot to eat till the games were finished. After eating, we had our traditional exchange gifts with photo ops every after gift and also had drinking sesh with my uncle, brother-in-law, boyfriend and cousins. We started to wrap-up around 3 or 4am I guess. The next day, which is the christmas day to be exact, we went to church to hear mass and also visited my mom.

As always, I received a lot of Hello Kitty stuff as gifts :)

Before I end this post, I would like to leave this quote.
"The Magic of Christmas is not in the presents but in HIS presence."

So yeah, hello there! Another update after another month of not being able to post. So, what’s new? A lot!~~
My first term as an IT student is about to end next week. Just finishing up few projects to be passed. Was I happy? Definitely yes! I’ve never felt this excitement in every new lesson compared when I was studying Medical Technology. Every course really has their own advantages but it always depend on what you really want.
Another BIG THING is, I NOW HAVE MY OWN LAPTOP! oh yeah! OWN LAPTOP!!! Finally!! I’ve had my first ever laptop when I was 18 years old, a HP Compaq given by mom on my 18th birthday, and sadly, it gave up after 2 years. So now, I have a Dell 14 7447 Pandora laptop! I know it’s not the best laptop that I can get but as for my usage, which will just be playing Sims4, editing videos, photos, blogging.. and Autocad in the near future, this Dell Laptop is all good with it’s specs. I’ll just edit photos so that I could write a full review about the Dell 7447 Laptop.
I’m also planning on changing my blog theme. So again, I promise, I’ll be back later. Hoho~

What’s with October and why it’s always my most loved yet most hated month?
October is my most loved month because:
  • It’s my Birth Month
  • It’s my Mom’s Birth Month
  • It’s my Boyfriend’s Birth Month
So yep, it’s 3 birthday celebrations in just one month!
And, October is my most hated month because:
  • It’s the month my mom died.
So every October, I celebrate my birthday yet it always remind me that it’s the same month that I lost the most important person in my life.
So, for my October 2015, first, we celebrated bebi’s birthday which was on October 1. We had spaghetti and cake at his house, then another cake, pizza and adobong paa ng manok with the Madagascar Barkada.

After bebi’s birthday was my mom’s death anniversary. We visited her at Eternal Gardens Memorial Park, and we also had the “Mama Mary” at home for the “padasal”

And also, around the end of October, Dustinn, my youngest brother got sick. He was admitted at the hospital due to Dengue Fever so we weren’t able to go to the Memorial Park on October 31.

We went to the Memorial Park by November 2. We weren’t able to get decent photos since it was so late and dark. We had to use the headlight of our car and flashlights from our phones.

So there goes my October. I just had to post this blog even if it’s way too late. I’ll post up another one later for my Christmas and New Year:)
